Owners ThoughtsThe reason I like Draco is not all based on the way he looks, yes Tom Felton does represent him in a way that is very pleasing to the eye, but I do have other reasons as well.If you watch the Movies or read the books you will notice some differences between the character. The Book (the true source) portrays Draco as the spoilt brat, that can be very harsh, whilst the movies have a habit of making him a complete wimp. Of course we do know, Draco can sometimes leave the scene when the mercury rises, but he has a family fortune to inherit, an appearance to keep up. He doesn't want to find himself injured. He is one of the characters that 'has it all' but at the same time, this comes with a very large price. He will find himself in situations he may not wish to be in, and now that his father is no longer with him (locked in Azkaban and you could say shamed by the Dark Lord) this would be very difficult, and my guess would be Severus will really become a father like figure to him. My hope is, Draco will remain alive all through the Seventh book and stay true to the Death Eaters and his families ties with the Dark Lord. However I can not lie and say I am not worried as Rowling tells us two popular characters are doing to be killed off, will one of them be Draco? We can only pray it isn't! |
